We've been on staff with Cru Singapore since 1993 (Patrick) & 1996 (Estella) respectively. As a family, we've been involved with the Campus ministry in Singapore until the year 2002 when we moved to Tokyo, Japan Campus Crusade for Christ to help reach the more than 700,000 undergraduates in Tokyo Campus Ministry which will in turn be ready to change Japan in order to help change the world!
When we first arrived in Tokyo in 2002 with our 2 kids, Elisha was only 4 years old & Megumi just about to turn 2 years old. Our youngest son, Hitoshi was born in Tokyo in 2003.
In Jan 2008, Patrick was appointed the Tokyo City Campus Director to help reach the more than 170 campuses with 4-year courses of no less than 700,000 Japanese undergraduates in Tokyo. He stepped down from that position in Sep of 2010 & handed over to a national staff in preparation to leave for our next assignment at our world HQ in Orlando, Florida.
After having spent a year at our global HQ, we felt the Lord leading us to work among families. In mid of June 2012, our family moved again & this time to Little Rock of Arkansas to work with the Global Outreach Department of FamilyLife, a subsidiary of Cru as an International Representative serving Asia, a region special to our hearts. As what Bill Bright use to say, "If we reach the family, we reach the world!"
FamilyLife is currently active in more than 100 countries. Our conference manuals and other resources have been translated into more than 71 different languages. The HomeBuilders Couples Series or the HomeBuilders Parenting Series has at least one title translated in 47 languages.
It has definitely been our privilege to be involved in God's work in wherever He has chosen to place us. We want to stay available for His use!
