Alexander and Ira Zalevsky

#2724664

Our mission is  to win people for Christ, build them  as Christ's disciples and send them as God's labourers into the world

Welcome to our giving page!

The Zalevsky family - Sasha, Iryna, Nadiia(15), Nastia(12), Zoya(4). We serve with  "Ukraine for Christ"(local name for Campus Crusade for Christ). Because of the war, we temporarily relocated from Kyiv, Ukraine to Budapest, Hungary.

God has called us to be missionaries while we were still students. At the age of 19  He touched our hearts in a special way with His message: Go tell everyone! We are forever grateful that He chose us to be a part of His Global Operation to rescue the lost.  As a new missionary I (Sasha) was in Lviv for 2 years (1998-2000), later I was sent to Donetsk(2000-2011), where I met my wife . We were involved in the Campus ministry, reaching students in the West and in the East of Ukraine.

In 2011 we moved to Kyiv, our capital, where we switched from the local level into the ministry on a National level, training our missionaries all over Ukraine. Now Ira and I are members of our Ukrainian National Leadership Team and I lead the LDHR team. Our main focus is staff and leadership development and human resources.

After 26 years on the mission field, we realise now that sharing the Gospel with someone and helping them grow spiritually is an important first step, but helping God’s labourers to mature in Christ and equipping  them for ministry is even more crucial.  That is why now we are serving more than 130 staff members from Ukraine.

In spite of the war "Ukraine for Christ" has ministry in different spheres of society, which include students, teachers, families, kids thru sport, musicians, businessmen, military chaplains, churches and humanitarian ministry.

Napoleon once said that "an army travels on its stomach". By this he meant that the problem of keeping an army supplied is the prerequisite for the very existence of the force. Without a plentiful and dependable source of fuel, food and ammunition, a military force falters. First, it stops moving, then it begins to starve, and eventually it becomes unable to resist the enemy. Therefore, the line of supply of an army is of utmost importance. It's even more important now, because we have a war in Ukraine. And there is HUGE need in Christ  among Ukrainians!

Drawing an analogy, all of our Ministry Partners are a line of supply to keep us as the front line soldiers of God's army supplied with much needed prayer and financial resources!

We invite you to be our Ministry Partners in prayer and finances!

It's because of God and our ministry partners that  we can do ministry full-time!
