I wanted to spend eternity with Him

          Dear friends in Christ,

                       My name is Romica Costaru and I live in Ploiesti, Romania. I graduated the Polytechnic University from Bucharest, the place where I came to know the Lord. It was November 1993 when a missionary with Cru came to my dorm room and shared the Gospel with me. That was when I realized that I didn’t have relationship with God and I was under His judgment. I also understood that I needed His forgiveness and love. I wanted to spend eternity with Him. I invited Jesus in my life and I got involved in the student movement on my campus. I met new Christian friends who helped me grow spiritually and encouraged me to share my faith with those around me. 

             I wanted them to be able to hear the Good News as I had the same privilege years before.            

                         While working as an engineer, I was still involved in personal evangelism. In this context, I realized that God was calling me to invest all my time in the ministry and led me to join staff full time with Campus Crusade and work with college students. I wanted them to be able to hear the Good News as I had the same privilege years before. I have been serving as a missionary for the last 20 years, sharing the Gospel to the students and teaching them the Bible and training new believers to share the Gospel and make disciples of their own.

             About 2 years ago I felt led by the Lord to get more involved in the “Church led ministry”, a ministry of Campus Crusade that comes alongside local churches to help them open up new ministries. We are seeking to start new house-churches (gatherings) and ministries in the places where there is no evangelical local church.

             We do  this mainly through personal evangelism, “one person at the time”, bible studies and prayer groups. That’s how we saw new groups starting in villages like Ploiesti, Vălenii de Munte, Comarnic, Mizil, Slănic, Bușteni, Azuga,  Urlati, Strejnicu, Drajna, Radila, Cătunu, Valea Calugărească, in the Prahova district. Thank you so much for all the prayers and support for these people in the Prahova district and the entire country of Romania. 

             I wish you would consider my invitation  

            God made us workers with him and we wish to accomplish the entrusted job with responsibility. God takes care 100% of His Work, but that does not diminish our responsibility to act with faith in every aspect of the ministry, including raising the necessary funds needed for the ministry.

            That is why I am addressing to you and I would like to invite you to join me, in this effort to share the Gospel to the people in our country.

              I am looking for people that would like to invest 30, 50, 75 to 100$ every month, money that would cover the expenses for salary, rent and other ministry expenses needed for the ministry.

            I would like to challenge you to pray, and see, if the Lord calls you to get involved in this ministry, through prayer and financial support.
