Dear brothers and sisters,
My wife, Yulya, and I work with the ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ. In Ukraine it is called Ukraine for Christ. We would like to share a little bit about ourselves.
Sasha
I became a believer when I was a sophomore at Donetsk Poly Technical University. After that, I began looking for fellowship with Christian college students and God directed me to Campus Crusade. During the rest of my university years, I actively participated in the student movement and saw how God was working in the lives of students. Upon graduating from the university I faced a question, What will I do now? The first thing I decided was that I wanted to be a missionary and totally devote myself to the ministry. I prayed that God would show me where to serve. Seeing how the Lord changes the lives of college students and how He used me in that work, I decided to devote all my time and strength to working with college students. I really like and enjoy the student atmosphere and understand the importance of reaching students. So upon graduating from university in 2002, I joined the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ so that I could most effectively use my gifts and talents in reaching lost students with the Gospel.
Yulya
In 1994 I became a believer through the influence of Christian relatives. In 1999 I got acquainted with Campus Crusade's student movement in Donetsk and immediately started to actively participate in the ministry. This is where I met Sasha and many other Christian college students. As I was nearing graduation from the institute, I started thinking about what I would like to do and where the Lord was leading me. I really enjoyed interacting with college students, sharing the Gospel with them and helping them grow in their relationships with Christ. Reflecting and praying about how God had gifted me helped me in the decision to devote my life to working with college students and spreading the Gospel in Ukraine and God willing, the rest of the world. Immediately after graduating from the institute, I came on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ.
We got married in early May of 2003. We served in the student ministry in Donetsk, Kiev and L'viv. Then we worked for 4 yearsr in the Operations ministry. In July 2015 Sasha became a National Team Leader.
Currently Campus Crusade in Ukraine has 7 different ministries: Student-Led Movement, Global Church Movement, LeaderImpact, Family Life, Teachers Movement, Athletes in Action and Military ministry.
God has blessed our family in a special way. We have three young sons, Sasha Jr., Rinat and Maksim and one daughter Kira. Whether it is being on summer projects with students or staff conferences, we are glad to participate in the mininistry as a family.
