GAiN: Relieve Suffering, Restore Dignity, and Reveal Hope

You can provide help and hope where most urgently needed!

GAiN exists to express the love of Jesus Christ in the toughest places on earth by relieving suffering, restoring dignity, and revealing hope.

As the humanitarian partner of Cru, we accomplish our mission through relief and development projects in partnership with international, Cru ministries who are committed to spiritual multiplication in their countries. We minister to people through water, health, and critical care projects as a way of opening the door to eternal hope.

A History of Helping and Hope

When the fall of the Iron Curtain in 1991 led to the dissolution of the Soviet Union, thousands of men, women, and children found themselves caught in the wake of economic hardship. Josh McDowell Ministry™ began Operation Carelift to address the physical needs of these impoverished people while sharing the good news of Jesus Christ. By 2003, Operation Carelift had mobilized thousands of Christians and moved countless tons of humanitarian assistance to the former Soviet Union and beyond. To advance this expanding ministry, Global Aid Network® (GAiN®) was formed in 2003 as a separate agency.

Hope Around the World

Last year, more than 17,000 volunteers packed supplies, valued at $25 million, ranging from meals to medical equipment to water filters. These supplies were shipped to our field partners in countries around the globe to assist them in their strategy to share the eternal hope of Jesus Christ. Our partners work in 191 countries in the world.
