As a result, I see that one of the most effective tasks we can focus on as missionaries in Spain, apart from sharing the gospel with those we meet on our own, is to invest in the Spanish staff and the Spanish church, encouraging, equipping and partnering with them to tell a new generation of Spaniards that Jesus loves them and has a hope and future for them.

I currently serve as the Director of De Familia a Familia or FamilyLife Spain. Our mission is to help couples discover Jesus, build them up in their faith and teach them how to help other couples come to know Christ as well.   

Our initial steps with families is to help them prioritize the relationships that matter most. We do this by strengthening the marriage relationship and equipping moms and dads in their roles as parents. In addition, we train couples to invest in other couples in their churches and their neighborhoods to make an impact for Christ in their corner of the world.

Before working with FamilyLife Spain, I served on the LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT and HUMAN RESOURCES (LDHR) team. I started working with LDHR in late 2004. The role of LDHR is to care for and equip our Spanish staff to stay longer in the field and to be more effective in their ministries of evangelism and discipleship. My desire is for them to develop and grow in their ability to effectively lead individuals, local movements and national ministries so that eventually everyone in Spain has the chance to learn more about who Jesus is and that everyone will know someone who knows Christ. I do  this in a variety of ways including co-directing our New Staff Training program, facilitating candidate interviews, onboarding for our national and international staff and providing leadership development opportunities for our senior staff.

Please pray that God would continue to open doors for His gospel here in Spain for me and for the staff with whom I work.
