Koffi Wiyao Pilabana

#2834388

My Name is PILABANA WIYAO KOFFI (MAGLOIRE).  I have met AIA for the first time in 2002 in Mali, West Africa, during the African Cup of Nations (Soccer Championship of Africa).  Before this time I knew nothing about Sport Ministry.  I started praying to God to touch the heart of my Campus Crusade for Christ director to allow me to start the ministry of Athletes in Action in Togo.     Below are some of the highlight events that have shaped our present ministry to the world of sport in Togo. *2002:  After hearing about sport ministry I started Athletes in Action in Togo.  I began with ministry to                                  professional soccer players.   I have seen many soccer players come to Christ and be baptized . *2006:   During the African Cup of Nations in Egypt I was the chaplain for the Togo Soccer National Team   *2007:   At the African Cup of Nations (Under 17) in Togo I was the Chaplain for the Togo Team.  *2009:  I was chaplain in Germany for the World Track & Field Championships.  This opened the door  for me to start the ministry with track and field athletes.                                                            *2011:   We have set up an AIA Track & Field competition in Kpalimé (Togo) for athletes from local  schools.                                   In 2018 one of the athletes from Kpalime competed in the youth African Cup of Nations.  One of the athletes we have discovered in Kpalimé is training at the Lomé Track and Field Center for West African athletes. Many of them have been selected for the National Team.                                                                                                                                                                                          *2011:    I served as an official Chaplain at the All African Games in Mozambique.                                                                                             *2012:    I served as an official Chaplain at the Olympic Games in London, England.                                                                                       *2016:    I served as a Chaplain at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.     We want to see, in every team and every sport, someone who truly is a disciple of Jesus Christ.     We are now raising and training chaplains to help this vision grow     Many professional basketball coaches from West Africa are coming to Christ from our ministry through the AIA Coaches Academy in Ohio.  The ministry we are doing in Togo is affecting coaches and athletes throughout all of West Africa.                      God is truly changing culture in Togo because of Athletes in Action. The church in Togo is discovering sport ministry through AIA.  We want to see more life changing in Togo. I have seen three athletes who came to Christ got baptized and got married  . Thank you for your partnership with us in Togo.  Come and be a part of AIA in Togo!

 Blessings
