We believe that strong marriages and families matter deeply to God and are essential to healthy churches and communities. Our calling is to

help couples build their relationships on the truth of Scripture and experience the hope and transforming power of the Gospel.

For 25 years, FamilyLife Ukraine has been serving marriages and families across Ukraine. Over the years,

we have trained a nationwide network of volunteer couples and ministry teams who serve through small groups, marriage events, mentoring, counseling, and other initiatives.

We have also developed educational programs that equip churches to prepare couples for marriage, strengthen families, support parents, and develop effective family ministries of their own.Since Russia’s full-scale invasion

in 2022, a major focus of our ministry has become serving military families

. Deployment, long separations, combat experience, loss, chronic stress, and difficult reunions place enormous pressure on marriages. We respond through counseling, retreats, small groups, church training, and ongoing support.

One of our key initiatives is “ReStart for Two,” a unique marriage restoration and rehabilitation program for couples in which one spouse is actively serving in the Ukrainian military.

During several days away from the pressures of war, couples have an opportunity to rest, receive professional counseling, rebuild emotional connection, and simply rediscover one another as husband and wife. But ReStart for Two is about more than strengthening marriages. It creates a unique opportunity for the Gospel. Many of these couples have little or no connection with a church, yet war has brought profound questions about suffering, forgiveness, hope, and God. As we listen to their stories, care for their marriages, and walk alongside them, relationships of trust open natural opportunities to share the hope we have in Jesus Christ.

Practical care for marriages becomes a bridge for the Gospel.

Our desire is not only to help couples reconnect with each other, but to help them encounter the One who offers lasting hope even in the midst of war. After 25 years,

our calling remains the same: to strengthen marriages and families, bring the hope of the Gospel into places of pain and brokenness, and equip churches and local leaders throughout Ukraine to do the same.
