Dear Friends in Christ,
First and foremost, we thank God for calling and appointing us to serve Him in Bangladesh—a nation where approximately 85% of the population follows Islam. Together as husband and wife, we are engaged in campus ministry in Dhaka, the capital city.
Each day, we visit our assigned college campuses with the goal of building genuine friendships with students. Through these relationships, we share the message of the Gospel using the Four Spiritual Laws booklet. Our mission is grounded in the principle of multiplying disciples. When students accept Christ, we invite them to join our Bible study groups to help them grow in their faith. In time, we train and equip these new believers to share the Gospel with their classmates, relatives, and community.
Our ministry strategy is simple but powerful: Win – Build – Train – Send – Pray.
As you can imagine, sharing the Gospel with Muslim students in a country known for its Islamic fundamentalism is not easy. Many people are not open to hearing about other faiths. But we praise our mighty God—He is opening doors and using us to lead lost souls to Jesus Christ.
Another major challenge we face is raising financial support. Christians are a minority in Bangladesh, and many of them live in poverty. Our organization follows a support-raising model, which means we do not receive a fixed salary. We are responsible for raising funds to cover our living allowance, housing, medical needs, child support, and ministry expenses.
You have a special opportunity to impact lives in Bangladesh by partnering with us through prayer and support. Jesus said in Matthew 10:10 (b), "a worker is worthy of his support." We trust the Lord to provide all our needs, and we never want anyone to feel pressured to give.
However, if God places it on your heart to support our ministry financially, you can do so through Campus Crusade for Christ International. Your partnership will help bring the light of Christ into places where it’s rarely seen.
Thank you for standing with us—in prayer, encouragement, and support.
With blessings and gratitude,
Mr. Simon Bairagi & Mrs. Margaret Bairagi
