Niranjan & Lanka Moses

#2844681

According to the Bible, there are only three things that will last forever. God, God’s Word, and the souls of men. The more we are involved in those things, the more we take part in the eternal. We believe that God has called us to serve Him among the students.

Me and my wife Lanka were raised in a Catholic family. We were studying Business Administration at the University of Ruhuna, Matara, Sri Lanka, in 2002. At the very beginning of our Campus life, we were introduced to the ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ. Because of the ministry of the staff of Campus Crusade, we came to know the Lord as our Savior on the campus. Campus Crusade has a Students’ Christian Society at Ruhuna University. We became active members of the student body. In the fellowship of like-minded students and the guidance of the staff, we grew in our faith. Many of our fondest memories on the campus are of witnessing with students on our campus, many of whom are not believers. The mass evangelism programs we used to do annually were some of the most fulfilling times we had as student leaders. However, nothing was as fulfilling as seeing God using us to develop other student leaders on the campus who would lead the movement once we graduated from the campus.

When we were in the final year of our studies, both of us felt that God was calling us to serve Him full-time. Since both of us had the same desire to serve God, we decided to get married and come to His ministry. We told our parents about our desire, but they were not ready to accept the decision. They did not want us to go for full-time mission work or to get married. Amid such confusing times, God encouraged us through Isaiah 45:4,5. “I have even called you by your name; I have named you, though you have not known me. I am the Lord, and there is no other; there is no God, besides me. I will gird you though you have not known me.” Despite the opposition, we came to full-time ministry on 15th July 2007.

Today, when we look back on our lives, we can see the ways God has blessed us. Our parents have accepted our decision now, we saw God leading us to students who have received him into their lives, and God allowed us to develop student leaders who are leading the movements in the university. God has used us to heal many individuals and families through our ministries.

Presently, I have been appointed as the "Leader Strategy" Coordinator of the SLCCC ministry. There are four main ministry strategies in Campus Crusade. They are Student Led Movement (SLM), Church Planting Movement Initiators (CPMI), Leader Strategy, and Digital Strategy. These strategies are globally identified as ministry strategies of Campus Crusade or CRU. Leader Strategy's focus is on professionals and workplace leaders who can transform the different segments of society.  And also, I was entrusted with the role of Operations and Fund Capacity, which is an essential and supportive ministry for all the ministry strategies mentioned above. Sametime, Lanka was entrusted with the role of Leadership Development and Human Resources (LDHR), while we both helped the Students Led Movement of the University of Jayawardenapura. It seems quite overwhelming, but still, we are trusting the Lord to enlarge our borders of faith to continue His Kingdom’s works. Our two boys, Rimon, currently studying in Grade Eight, and Riyon, is reaching his 3rd birthday this year.

It is our prayer and desire to envision Christ-centered multiplying disciples and families to be seen in society so that everyone may know that someone who truly follows Christ, and teaches, trains, and mentors them to do the same, accomplishing God’s Mission in their lives.

Campus Crusade for Christ operates financially as a faith-mission organization. Thus, it becomes the responsibility and privilege of each staff member to find Ministry Partners to invest in their team’s ministry. Full-time staff members raise their financial support for their ministry through Ministry Partners like you. In this way, each Ministry Partner has their missionary on the field.

Currently, we have some additional financial needs of $976 per month in our ministry and personal expenses, which you can be a part of by investing. We trust in the Lord that you, men and women of God, will join us on this significant journey, helping to fulfill the Great Commission in Sri Lanka and beyond.

Thank you! Blessings!
