Hello!

My name is Iwona. I’ve been on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ in Poland since 2012. 

 

I’ve heard the Gospel and came to know Jesus through the ministry of Athletes in Action. I’ve met and interacted with them while attending basketball high school in Warsaw and playing for Polish National Team. Unfortunately, my heart was hardened by difficult childhood and lack of love and I was not ready to follow Jesus.

 

From high school, I’ve gone to America to play and study. After three years in Texas (@ Weatherford College) and two years in Hawaii (@ University of Hawaii), I’ve received Bachelor's degree in Economics and went back to Poland in order to pursue a dream of playing professional basketball. Post graduation time became very different from what I’ve imagined. I’ve experienced many disappointments. At that point of life many of my dreams came true, but I felt empty inside.I started asking questions and searched for purpose in life.

 

Eventually, I surrendered my life to God confessing Jesus as my Lord and Savior. With a desire to grow in faith, I’ve moved to Warsaw. I was involved in Athletes in Action and local church, along with attending Grad School and playing for a local team. As I was growing spiritually, God called me to full time ministry.

 

I’ve joined Campus Crusade for Christ to win, build and send people in the name of Jesus.
