We know that a relationship with Jesus is the foundation for transforming and strengthening lives, and you can offer this hope to young military recruits.
Cru Military’s core outreach to recruits in basic training is our Spiritually Fit Ready to Serve (SFRS) evangelism classes and resources.
The classes and booklets cover:
- The identity of a faithful warrior in Christ
- Knowing God personally
- Being filled with the Holy Spirit
- Building spiritual fitness through the Word, prayer, fellowship, witnessing, obedience, and putting Christ first.
Other key areas addressed to help the recruit be ready to serve are:
- The Great Commission
- Strengthening Marriages/Families
- How to deal with adversity
- Suicide awareness
- Building spiritual resistance to combat trauma.
Every Sunday at eight basic training locations, our staff and volunteers have the privilege of witnessing and ministering to thousands of military recruits. We have distributed over 83,000 copies of New Testament Bibles and the SFRS booklets in the past year alone.
As you read this, demand is soaring for our Spiritually Fit Ready to Serve booklets, and print costs continue to increase. We have nearly run out of materials at some ministry locations.
