Sharon and I have been on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ since 1983 and 1978, respectively. After graduating from The University of Houston, Sharon served one year at The Ohio State University. At OSU, she was trained to become an Associate Campus Director. Following her training year, she joined my team at Jackson State University in Jackson, MS in the fall of 1984. I began serving at JSU in 1978 after graduating from East Carolina University. We began dating a year later and married three years later on May 23,1987. Our son, Caleb, was born in Jackson on March 30, 1991. After Sharon and I had served at JSU for 13 and 8 years respectively, we moved to Dallas, TX in August 1991 for me to pursue theological training at Dallas Theological Seminary. Our daughter, Damisa, was born in Dallas on September 22, 1993. After graduating with a Th.M. in New Testament Studies in 1995, we moved to Houston, Sharon's hometown. We planned to be in Houston for one year to raise support to go serve in South Africa. Our daughter, Lia, was born in Houston on March 16, 1996. Ten days after her birth, Sharon suffered a cerebral hemorrhage. She had emergency neurosurgery and was hospitalized for 43 days in 3 different hospitals. After her release, she finished the prescribed 6 months of outpatient rehabilitation in three months, graduating as the TIRR Challenge Program Client of The Year. We finally moved to Johannesburg, South Africa on August 8, 2000. I served as Campus Director at The University of Witwatersrand (along with other duties) until our departure on May 1, 2006. During the 2006-2007 year of transition back to the US, we served on the CCC Lake Hart Stint, a one year development program. We worked with The Impact Movement. In 2007, we continued our service with The Impact Movement. I serve as National Alumni Development Director and Fund Development Director. We serve in supportive roles with our National Campus Ministry and in Impact National and Global Missions, using my years of experience to help develop our staff who lead campus movements around the country and in Africa.
