During the 2022-23 school year, over 1 million International students, from over 210 countries, came to the USA to study!
My name is Linda Woods and I have always felt the calling to reach the world with the Gospel. This calling has led me all over the world, but then I realized that the world has literally come to us! The above numbers represent 6% of the total USA based, student body! International students represent the economic, educational and military future of their countries. They are also mothers, fathers and neighbors.
My strategy is to welcome all the Internationals I meet. Specifically I will be on the campus of Colorado State University in Ft. Collins, CO. I will use contextualized evangelistic conversations and tools that are fashioned for people who come from different faith backgrounds. Additionally I will meet Internationals who are already Christians and I will disciple them to reach their peers on campus as well as prepare them to go back to their own countries as the influential people I mentioned above.
Many of the masses of International students come from hard to reach countries that are a part of the 10/40 Window ( the longitude and latitude covering North Africa, Middle East, S.E. Asia and parts of China) . These future world leaders end up feeling lonely, anxious and friendless while they study here. Simply asking them to come and visit your house makes the world of difference in their experience and it opens their hearts to friendship and also to the Gospel! My dog Bailey (pictured here) and I are looking forward to having students to our house in Ft. Collins this fall!
Cru has no central funds to pay the salaries of their staff members. It is my privilege to gather a team of friends around me who want to invest in the ministry I have described. Can I ask you to consider being a part of this exciting work of reaching and mobilizing the students of the world to become spiritual leaders? You can do this in many ways, but for now, pray about giving to this work through me.. The total amount I need is $2,000 in monthly support.
