Mark and Marianne Householder

Mark and Marianne are staff members with Athletes in Action, the athletic ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ International. AIA was started in 1966 by David Hannah and now has over 1,200 staff members and trained associates in 70 countries around the world.

Over the years, Athletes in Action staff members and volunteers have delivered on a promise to build athletes into "Total Athletes" and give the world a chance to experience a Victory Beyond Competition.  At the very core and center of building Total Athletes and the message of Victory Beyond Competition is Jesus Christ and the good news of salvation through Him.  Athletes in Action dreams of a day when there are Christ followers on every team, every sport and in every nation.

In May 2009, Mark was installed as the fourth president of Athletes in Action. Mark has been an AIA staff member since 1982 and during that time has served in various organizational capacities all related to serving college, professional and Olympic athletes and coaches.

Marianne has been a staff member with Athletes in Action since 1985. She plays a vital role in the organization as a Leadership Development Specialist. Her responsibilities include coaching and developing leaders as well as adding value to local, regional and national staff teams. Marianne graduated from Miami (OH) University in 1985 with a degree in organizational leadership.

Mark graduated in 1982 from the University of Cincinnati. While playing on the football team, he earned a BS degree in Civil Engineering.

The Householders have three adult children and four grandchildren. They reside in Lebanon, OH.
