Today we encounter a wide variety of questions related to sexuality and gender. As followers of Christ, we want to navigate LGBT+ questions in a way that is compassionate to people and faithful to scripture.
We’ve been on staff with CRU for 38 and 40 years respectively. We both have our roots in the Pacific Northwest. Lisa is from Portland, Oregon and graduated from Portland State in marketing. Previous staff assignments include: Josh McDowell ministries in Dallas, campus area staff team in Portland, and at CCC’s headquarters in San Bernardino, CA. Rick is from Bellevue, Washington and is a graduate of the University of Washington (B.A. in Speech therapy). He also has an M.A. in Biblical Studies from CRU’s International School of Theology. Previous CRU’s ministries include: music ministry based in Germany and a ministry to international students in San Bernardino, CA.
From 1994-2013 (19 years) we lived and ministered in France working with college students, interns and staff. For the first 4 years we served in Lyon, France. Later we lived in the city of Rennes (N.W. France), where Rick served as the local campus director from 1999 to 2005. In later years Rick oversaw training for new staff and interns for CRU in France and from 2010-13 he focused on local ministry, primarily in the campus ministry. Lisa had a wonderful ministry with staff women in discipleship and mentoring. She was also involved ministering to women in Rennes as well as a great ministry of hospitality for all in our home. In 2013 we moved to Seattle to be closer to family where we served International students & scholars through Cru’s ministry called Bridges.
As of 2020, we've joined Cru CITY, a ministry where we reach out to our neighbors, partner with our local church and also equip & empower believers to have an effective ministry themselves. We have 4 great kids: Nathan (Clara), Gabe (Alli), Nicolas (Juliette) and Mallory.
If you are not involved financially at this point, would you consider giving $100 monthly or some other amount? Or, giving an annual (one-time) gift of $2,500, $1,000, $500, or some other amount? This would be a tremendous help at this time!
