Leah and Bob came into the ministry at different times from different backgrounds, and brought with them different gifts and different skillsets. But they were unified in their calling – to help fulfill the Great Commission by winning people to Christ, building them up in their faith, and sending them to win, build and send others.

Leah’s greatest strength is her ability to help others maximize their capacity to serve the Lord. Whether she was serving the top leaders of the ministry, recruiting and developing media professionals, or discipling high school students, her heart has always been to strengthen those around her so they can be more effective servants for the Lord. Today on staff with the Josh McDowell Ministry of Cru, she is continuing to share the truth of God's Word and help young believers around the world navigate their questions and find clarity. Her team's heart is to cut through cultural confusion so people can see Jesus clearly.

Facts inform. Ideas spark imagination. But stories penetrate the heart and transform the listener. For his entire career, Bob has been using stories to touch the hearts of men and women, introducing them to Jesus, helping them grow in their relationship with Him, showing them the incredible things God is doing in the world, and inviting them to take part in the Great Commission. Through Legacy, he is telling the stories of men and women who have vibrant walks with the Lord to demonstrate what a life in Christ can look like for those who fully trust Him. From there, he and his team connect the audience with Cru’s resource materials, helping them grow in their relationship with God.
Leah and Bob joined Cru staff in 1989, were married in 1993, and are the proud parents to three amazing sons and our “+1 son” Preston who has been part of our family since 2018. In 2020 we officially became in-laws when our oldest son Josh married his beautiful bride Ashley.
