Ministry & History Biography

Scott and Becky were married in Wisconsin and have five grown sons, in order of the picture above, Ben, Caleb, Andrew (between Becky & Scott), right side - Micah & Dalton. The great impact of Cru Campus ministry on the personal growth and opportunities for discipleship ministry on Becky and Scott as college students caused them to seek God for opportunites to continue serving students. As a result Scott was led to join Cru staff, and assigned to Univ. of New Hampshire, while Becky joined Cru one year later and was assigned to Kearney St. Univ., NE. They met on a summer mission project in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire, and were married two years later. They began their married lives as Cru staff at the University of New Hampshire, and later at Univ. of Buffalo & area campuses of western NY. In 1993, they began a move to the mid-West for seminary and Mid-West & Great Plains work opportunities. Scott and Becky have been involved in Christian, college ministry for over 25 years, combined, as full-time, part-time, volunteer staff and as student leaders. Becky has had many career paths - Cru collegiate ministry, nursing, home making and home schooling. After college (Univ. WI-Oshkosh) she served full-time with Cru Campus ministry on three campus in Nebraska, New Hampshire & Buffalo, NY. More recently she has used her B.S.-R.N. to minister to people spiritually, emotionally and physically, in long-term care and Hospice with elderly. God has given her some amazing opportunities to give the life-giving, rescue rope of the Gospel, a personal relationship with Jesus. Scott has also had many career paths - Cru college ministry, Church pastorates, H.S. science teaching, retail and electrician. Some of these paths overlapped. Scott, like Becky, joined full-time with Cru immediately after graduation (Virginia Tech University) serving on campuses in New Hampshire, Western New York and North Dakota. Scott earned his teaching certification at graduate school in Buffalo, began teaching and coaching sports in the Chicago, Illinois suburbs for a decade while he earned his seminary degree (2001) and raised his sons with Becky. After seminary, Scott was called to serve an Associate Pastor in NE Wisconsin then as a Senior Pastor in North Dakota. Scott returned to high school science teaching as well as began coaching college football for three years (2010-2013), In 2010, he began to return to his passion of discipleship of college students. In Jan. 2015, he re-joined Cru staff as PTFS (Part-time Field Staff) where he currently serves Jesus Christ on two campuses - Minot State Univ. and “DCB”-Dakota College -Bottineau, both in north central North Dakota.
