Paul and Karin Lindberg

After living for 25 years in Europe serving with Agape Europe (Cru in Western Europe) and now several years in the US, we continue helping in Europe, West Africa and locally in the US with Cru City.  Paul’s focus is with City’s Global Initiatives and Karin’s is with Immigrants, Internationals and Refugees.  Whether tutoring local immigrants, leading projects to Europe and West Africa, or building collaborative relationships with church leaders here and abroad, we are thrilled with the opportunity to help build movements of multiplying disciples.

Paul continues to travel to Sweden and Burkina Faso, two countries that couldn’t be more different.  Sweden is among the wealthiest, Burkina among the poorest.  Sweden has worldwide influence, Burkina struggles to influence within its own borders.  Yet these two countries have one thing in common - spiritual poverty.  We seek to address spiritual poverty through helping build movements of multiplying disciples.  Here’s an overview of our current ministry:

Twin Cities

  • Outreach to various immigrants and refugees, including helping to resettle an Afghan family.
  • Collaboration with local churches and church leaders to engage in Europe and West Africa.
Europe with a focus on Sweden:
  • For Cru Europe (Agape) Paul serves as a liaison for Agape to the US. Building collaborative relationships with 50 pastors, missionaries and leaders, a dozen churches and several denominations and organizations.
  • In dialogue to help start 13 churches in university cities.  5,000 schools received The Jesus Film for Children with curriculum designed for religion classes reaching up to 100,000 children each year.
  • Prayer: We continue to have a small group of people committed to praying for Sweden.   We were happy to lead a prayer team to Sweden once again this fall after not being able to do that because of Covid.  This took place around the celebration of Cru being in Sweden for 50 years.
  • Church Planting:  Exploring church planting opportunities.
West Africa with a focus on Burkina Faso
  • Paul gives leadership to Medical Compassion Mission (MCmission), a US NGO led by Cru staff and volunteers aimed at helping the poorest of the poor in collaboration with Agape Europe.
  • An audiology team served over 40 hearing impaired children.
  • An agriculture team trained over 100 in “drip irrigation” and helped start a micro-business.A community development team is engaged with two unreached people groups.
  • A medical team from Spain served 2,500 patients in our new medical clinic (December 2018).
  • Nationally, thirteen previously Unengaged Unreached People Groups are now engaged and some already have several new church plants.
  • We’ve been asked to help Cru Burkina establish an outreach to national and community leaders.
Our Family
  • We live in Lino Lakes, MN, a suburb of the Twin Cities.
  • Amanda (31) is a full time hospice social worker working for Park Nicollet.  She moved back home in August.
  • Andrew (29) is a police officer in Lakeville, MN, now working the day shift.  He lives in Cottage Grove.
  • Sarah (28) keeps us entertained at home.

Whether collaborating with US churches, tutoring an East Asian scholar, helping Swedish church leaders, providing health care or leadership development to the poorest of the poor in Burkina Faso or investing in Cru’s leaders in Europe, we are trusting God to use our efforts to change lives and produce movements of multiplying disciples.  We are excited for what God is doing and your partnership makes it possible.
