Faculty Mentor, Registrar for the International Leadership Consortium (ILC), a ministry of Cru
The International Leadership Consortium is a network of seminaries and universities around the world that are affiliated with Cru and are equipping ministry leadership for Cru and the Body of Christ. Wayne works primarily with a newer initiative that is rolling out Competency-based Theological Education (CBTE) among Cru staff around the world. He is currently the Faculty Mentor for two Ph.D. students, one in Togo, West Africa, and one based in North Carolina whose ministry has been in Latin America. Wayne is also the Faculty Mentor for a D.Min. student in the Philippines. All of these are Cru staff members. In addition, he is helping develop ILC’s accredited CBTE Ph.D. program and is serving as the Registrar for part of ILC’s programs.
Wayne is excited to be working in CBTE at this stage in his ministry. Not only is he equipping leaders for the Great Commission, but he is also involved in a pioneering initiative that has the potential to enable the global Church to equip the 2.5 – 3 million pastors who have no formal or non-formal training in Bible and ministry.
Director, Envision Pathway, and Ministry to at-risk children
Envision Pathway, is a coaching process that enables Cru's senior staff, 55 years and older, to explore how they can make the best contribuion as they seek to continue serving Christ. Dee helped develop the Envision Pathway process and leads 22 coaches who are available to come alongside Cru's 1,500+ older staff as they seek to take the next steps in their service to Christ through Cru. Cru staff who are coached through Envision Pathway feel important and cared for by Cru and find new areas of ministry (sometimes their current ministry is confirmed).
Dee continues to be burdened by global human trafficking that affects 40 million people, mostly women, every year. She has written a curriculum to help at-risk children heal spiritually, psychologically, and emotionally. She has been involved with Faith House Girls home in Thailand and AIC Zion school in the Mathare slums of Nairobi, Kenya. Dee also helps women take their next steps spiritually through evangelism and discipleship as part of City, a community-focused ministry of Cru.
