In 1992, an opportunity presented itself to make a mid-career change in our lives that was from the Lord.  Jill and I started the transistion process of moving from the corporate world to answering God's call to join Cru.

Before coming on staff with Cru, Jill and I were volunteers with FamilyLife in Alaska for two years. We served as local volunteers in Anchorage as the first Conference Ministry Directors.  Together we reached out to hundreds of churches and numerous professional offices to promote the FamilyLife Marriage Conference.  That first conference was attended by 344 engaged and married couples in February, 1991.  Since than the conference has grown to over 800 annually.

Jill and I first came on staff with FamilyLife, a division of Cru, from July, 1992 until moving to Cru Headquarters in June, 2004.  We have worn a variety of hats since arriving in Orlando.  Thomas has served in the National Campus Office, the Presidents Office, and now in his current role since 2008.  

Jill is working in various capacities with special needs families assisting them in finding resources and help in meeting their needs.

Thomas has been working these past 20 years with Ministry Partner Development in various positions. For 12 years as the Logistics and Operations Manager taking care of all those little details that are necessary to train approximately 1500 new staff every year.  He oversaw four major trainings and multiple smaller ones every year.  Now Thomas oversees and works with senior staff in leadership positions through out Cru's various ministries helping them with their own partner development.

Meet The Monarchs!

Jill and I were married August 18, 1989, in Anchorage, AK. We have five children. Jessica is 29 and Mallory is 27. God blessed us with Samuel, 21, adopted in July, 1999, from Tula, Russia. We have Alexa Grace, 18, and adopted March,2002, in Little Rock, AR. And now God has blessed us again with Austin, 18, adopted from Tula, Russia.  We believe in adoption!

Ministry Support Needs!

Thank you for letting us share with you and we appreciate your desire to come along side us as ministry partners with the financial resources God has provided for you!  All gifts go directly in our staff account at Cru and are only available to us through our monthly salary and reimbursement of personal ministry expenses such as our newsletters.

Each year Jill and I continue to work on finding new partners who want to share in our ministry through financial giving!  Each year it comes in never knowing how God will make it happen!  This is how God uses His people -- to give back to Him by providing for His servants.

Not everyone can pack up their belongings and move as we have done.  We left Alaska in 1993 to move to Arkansas and then to Florida now Colorado!  Not everyone called to do what we have done but everyone is called to help provide the resources for us to answer God's calling!

You may already be doing this already by providing financial resources for other missionaries.  If not we hope that you will pray about providing for us through monthly giving or special gifts.

We ask that you pray first concerning what God would have you do through giving financially. You may choose to give monthly, quarterly, annually or by periodic special gifts.
