Gary and Cindy Blunier

#0453342

Cindy and I reported to FamilyLife in October of 1996, moving to Little Rock from Eureka, IL.  I initially served two years in the Events Department before becoming the FamilyLife Recruiting Manager in 1998. Cindy worked in Constituent Correspondence for two years and then joined my team as a New Staff Evaluator in 1999.  In 2010, we helped launch FamilyLife eMentoring, a new online mentoring and mentor training outreach.  And then in early 2016, we were asked to serve as Staff Chaplains.  This fall we accepted a new position to serve as Senior Counsel to the President of Family.  In light of that, we handed of our Compassionate Mentoring: How to Listen & Love Like Jesus training to a new team.

Please pray for us as we serve the new President of FamilyLife, Luke Middendorf.

We have been married for 47 years and have four daughters:

  • Janel is married to John Breitenstein. They have four children (Baden, Will, Corinne and Jack) and serve with Engineering Ministries International in Colorado Springs, CO.  Janel is a contract editor and writer for Focus on the Family and FamilyLife.
  • Jenn is married to Chris Hopkinson.  They have two sons (Teddy and Alfie) and moved from Sheffield, England to Little Rock, AR. Jenn is an art curator and Chris is a family physician.
  • Keri is married to Steven Helmick. They live in Little Rock and have four children (Emma, Drew, Sophie and Aliza).  Steven was recently appointed the Founding Principal for the new Pinnacle View High School being built in West Little Rock and Keri works part-time at Arkansas Children's Hospital.
  • Kelli is married to Stephen Spurlock.  They live in Bangkok, Thailand and serve with Beautiful Feet.  They have adopted two children, Oak and Ada.

Prior to joining FamilyLife, I worked in the auto business for five years and then operated the family farm in Illinois for 18 years.  I also did electrical subcontracting before joining staff in Little Rock.
