We are committed to coming alongside people in their journey towards knowing Jesus and growing in His likeness.   Our hearts align with the Cru mission to help fulfill the great commission in the power of the Holy Spirit by winning people to faith in Jesus Christ, building them in their faith and sending them to win and build others.

Shelly and Kevin joined the staff of CRU Chicago in January 2001 just a few weeks after their wedding on December 10, 2000. Kevin grew up in Alabama and has two sisters. He came to know Jesus Christ in a personal way through a co-worker in 1980. He graduated from Moody Bible Institute and has been living in Chicago since 1987. Shelly grew up in South Dakota and has one sister and one brother. She entered into a personal relationship with Christ while on a mission trip to Russia in 1995. Shelly attended Kansas State University and has an MBA from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She moved to Chicago in 1999. They both have been involved in secular careers and are grateful for the call to serve in ministry in Chicago. They have a son Noah who was born in January 2003 and graduated from Calvin University in 2025, and a daughter Rachel who was born in May 2004 and is currently attending Hope College in Michigan.
