STEPHANIE - As an All Conference volleyball player at NCAA Division II Presbyterian College in South Carolina I had the respect of my coaches and teammates. Both my faith in Jesus Christ and my background as a Pastors daughter gave me a heart to minister to those around me.

During my sophomore year in college I attended my first AIA event in Colorado. The summer long training in presenting the Gospel and leading others in Bible studies and personal discipleship were the perfect preparation for helping me know how to share my faith with my teammates and coaches. The training I received and the impact I saw through my life served as the greenhouse for God to call me into full time ministry.

KEVIN - I entered the University of South Carolina with a commitment to grow in my walk with Jesus Christ and to become the best football player I could be. During my first semester on campus I met an Athletes in Action staff member starting an athletic Bible study. That initial experience turned into a five year relationship of consistent weekly Bible study and one-on-one personal discipleship.

A three year letterman as a backup quarterback and special teams member, I learned many lessons on and off the field. My place on the team afforded me opportunities to speak to people of all ages, sharing of my faith in Jesus. The training I received through AIA equipped me to be more effective in ministering to my teammates, friends, and fans. My experiences also led to a call of God on my life to serve Him full time in ministry.

TOGETHER - Although our playing days are over, we still compete for the hearts and souls of men and women in athletics. As full time missionaries with Athletes in Action, Stephanie and I have the privilege of meeting the spiritual needs of athletes and coaches around the world. Just as we were trained and equipped with tools to share our faith and help others grow in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, we are able to give back and serve others who are still competing.

We desire to develop men and women in sport with strong character and integrity that is founded in a personal relationship with Jesus, teaching them to use the platform they have to impact others.
