Our Mission

We serve with Cru to glorify Christ and advance His Great Commission across the world. Our mission at Cru is to help build spiritual movements everywhere so that everyone knows someone who truly follows Jesus.

To accomplish this mission, we work at Cru World Headquarters supporting Cru missionaries around the world who serve in over 190 countries. Cru utilizes various ministry strategies to reach people for Christ including movements on over 3,000 college campuses, JesusFilm exposures in every nation on earth (7.7 billion views and counting), 50 U.S. inner city ministries, and marriage and family programs to 18 million people annually—and that’s just from four of our ministries.

With our massive global vision comes a need for a robust and efficient central support system. In U.S. Capacity HR, we serve as part of the backbone of Cru, ensuring that missionaries around the world can stay focused on spreading the Good News.

To give you a picture of what this looks like: in 1969, it took about 400,000 behind-the-scenes specialists at NASA to put just two astronauts on the surface of the moon. In the same way, we’re honored to be part of the team that works behind the scenes at Cru—helping send messengers of Christ to nearly every country on earth to reach people with the love of Jesus.

When missionaries are well-supported, the gospel can move further, faster, and deeper into the lives of those who need it most.

Eric is a Senior Human Resources Business Partner serving U.S. Capacity, a department that includes IT, legal, finance, donation services, staff services, fund development, and a few others. Lauren has been coaching interns at Headquarters since 2021.​

Past Roles

We have served as missionary staff with Cru since 2008 (Lauren) and 2010 (Eric) with the majority of this time spent directly on college campuses reaching students for Christ.

From 2014 to 2019 we served in East Asia. While in East Asia, we were always extremely grateful for Cru’s ability to equip our missionaries to thrive and serve effectively. In 2019, we returned to the States, and now we find it an honor to serve our missionaries around the world in the same way.​

​From 2019 to 2023, Eric served on the leadership team of the Finance Department guiding strategic planning, managing projects, and giving leadership to financial systems.
