Personal Bio

Hi! My name is Eric Rardin and I’m happily married to my wife Kaeleigh as of January 8th, 2023. We currently live in Orlando, FL and work at the headquarters of Cru.

I first got involved with Cru at James Madison University where God began to shape me into the kind of person who loves Jesus, follows him daily, and seeks to raise up others who do the same. Nearing graduation, I felt a call to missions so I started off interning for a year in East Asia.

During that year, it became clear that the desire of my heart and the preparation of the Lord was all pointing me to a career in full time ministry. I subsequently returned home and served on staff at the University of Connecticut for 5 years. I left in 2019 and have been living and working at Cru's headquarters in Orlando since then.

Here are the teams I work on:

Evangelistic Initiatives

This team exists to accelerate evangelism amongst students and faculty today. We do this by

  • Researching generational trends to understand how to contextualize the Gospel
  • Innovating, creating, and distributing new tools for staff and students to use in evangelism on campus
  • Host our own evangelistic strategies on a large scale through platforms like social media, websites, and other forms of content creation.

My main area of contribution on this team is to launch and facilitate the Speakers Forum which will resource the campus ministry with evangelists capable of giving large scale messages to non-Christian audiences. I will also continue to work on content creation and development for our evangelistic social media handle for Instagram, YouTube and Tiktok. @taketheopenseat

The Coaching Center

We come alongside students that don't have any Cru Staff on their campus and assist them in helping launch a ministry of their own. This is often done in smaller schools that don't have any evangelical presence. I spend my time coaching them on how to lead a bible study, share their faith, and spread the word to others about their campus fellowship.

Not familiar with Cru?

My favorite way of thinking about our core DNA comes from the way our founder Bill Bright used to sign his emails:

“Yours for the fulfillment of the great commission in our generation.” -Bill Bright

The mission and vision of Cru has always been to create movements of students committed to the Lord and his kingdom purposes for their lives on college campuses. We aim to:

  •  Enable those who do not know Christ to enter into relationship with him for the first time
  •  Build students up in their faith that they might experience a closer and more fruitful walk with Jesus and with each other in community
  •  Provide significant missional opportunities for students and staff alike to come together in spreading the Gospel to all nations.

If you would like to know more details about my ministry, I would love to have a conversation with you! Contact me anytime at eric.rardin@cru.org or 203-543-4808.
