It would be difficult to identify any greater influence on American culture or the world than sports. For so many millions of people around the world, sport is a religion. We believe the key to reaching this sports-crazy world is reaching athletes and equipping them to leverage their influence to reach their teammates, campuses, communities and the world for Christ. To that end, we are seeking to build multi-ethnic spiritual movements on all 288 college campuses in the Great Lakes Region (IN, IL, MI & OH) through college athletes who become multiplying disciples on every team, in every sport, in every athletic department. 

Presently, there is an Athletes in Action spiritual movement on 60 college campuses in the region, through the leadership of some 150 AIA staff, interns, and volunteers. In the next 2 years, we are trusting the Lord to enable us to launch 15 new campus movements, train 600 new equipped disciples, send 300 college athletes on short-term mission trips to our partnership countries (Puerto Rico, South Africa and East Asia), and recruit 60 new staff and interns.
