Thank you so much for considering partnering with us as we seek to put the gospel within arm's reach of every student in every corner of every campus! As Interns, Part-Time Field Staff, and Full Time Field Staff, we have the unique opportunity to empower each other by raising our financial support as a group. Together, with our collective communities, we are trusting God to provide as we step into the ministry God has called us into.
Meet the San Diego Circle!
Keegan (Cru- Part-Time Field Staff, San Diego)
Keegan graduated from UCSD in 2018 with a BS in Cognitive Science. He is passionate about serving groups that a lot of people overlook, particularly those of the LGBTQ community, people on the mod-severe ASD spectrum, and kids in the foster care system. Keegan’s ministry focus in San Diego has shifted primarily to helping LGBTQ students at UCSD and SDSU explore faith and meet Jesus. He has seen God work in the hearts of LGBTQ students and because of this wants to be on campus to continue to be a light to a community that has typically been excluded and shamed by Christians.

Natalie (Destino- Part-Time Field Staff, San Diego)
Natalie discovered Destino during her time at UCLA and became a student leader and volunteer staff after graduation. She left her preschool classroom behind to make the leap to staff in the summer of 2020 and moved cross country to San Diego. In her own journey to spiritual growth, being a part of Destino helped her understand the intersectionality of culture and faith. Now, she is excited to play a part in others' journey of growing and understanding how their personal relationship with God and their background are not mutually exclusive but rather a gift by which they can celebrate and embrace. Natalie wants to create a safe space where others can explore what Imago Dei (made in God’s image) truly means and how we can love our neighbors in active ways. She is excited to see what transformative work God does in the lives of students, their families, and their communities.

Brittany (Cru- Part-Time Field Staff, San Diego)
Brittany is a native of Chicago and studied English at Elmhurst University. After visiting friends in California in the summer of 2019, she felt the burden to move to San Diego to draw Black and African-American students into the Christian community that she loves so well. Her desire is that students of every color would have a safe space to freely worship & fellowship with others. She is excited to be a part of what God is doing here, in students' lives, and can't wait to see what is to come.

Rebecca (Cru- Part-Time Field Staff, San Diego)
Rebecca Miller is a graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station with a B.S. in Community Health and a minor in Psychology. While in school, her faith grew tremendously by going on a summer mission with Cru. There, she discovered God’s heart for the nations and learned to share her faith with others. Rebecca, her husband, Kyle, and their daughter, Hallie, have the gift of being stationed in San Diego. Rebecca is a ministry partner development coach for incoming Cru national interns. This means she will have an opportunity to walk alongside new staff as they trust God to develop them as missionaries and build a team of financial and prayer partners. Her prayer is to equip the next generation of missionaries to report where the Lord is calling them so they may reach students all over the world with the gospel.

Cody (Cru- Full Time Field Staff, Long Beach)
Cody came back to God in college through experiencing His love through others during a time and place where God is often not talked about. So many people in college are wondering what it means to be truly loved and are left ultimately disappointed and empty from what the world has to offer. Cody hopes to point students to place their faith in God and not in themselves. He will be serving in Long Beach and trusting to raise up student leaders passionate about sharing their faith with the more than 125,000 students in the area. Just as the shipping ports in Long Beach are international sending grounds that benefit local and global communities, so is our Cru vision here. We pray that we would be an international sending ground, building spirit-led, lifelong multiplying disciples for the benefit of local and global communities.

Evelyn (Cru- 2nd Year Intern, San Diego)
Evelyn is a graduate of UC San Diego with a B.S. in Education Studies and a minor in Public Service. People’s stories and passions have always reminded her of God’s faithfulness and effervescent love. Being a part of Cru during her undergraduate career, she felt the personal investment and intentionality behind staff wanting to hear her story, equip her, and send her out into the world. Evelyn is beyond excited to continue to hear the stories of the students in San Diego while trying her best to support and encourage students in whatever capacity is needed. Her prayer is that every student on campus would feel heard, understood, and empowered.

Anita Soto (Destino- Part Time Field Staff, San Diego)
Anita is an outgoing person that is passionate about sharing the Gospel, discipleship, and serving the community. Destino’s mission is to empower a generation of Latino and Latina leaders to change the world through Christ. College students are at such a critical time in their lives to discover who they are and what it means to truly walk with God. Her focus is to help build partnerships with local churches and organizations to Destino on campus and vice versa. The Latino community is an integral part of who each individual is. She believes we impact our community no matter where we are, and I believe that God is at the center of it all. She has seen how God changes our community in order for it to go back to his original design of being caring and loving to our neighbors.
